COOCHIN CREEK FRUITGROWERS CO-OPERATIVE

coochin-creek-co-op-logoThe Coochin Creek Fruitgrowers Co-operative was established in Beerwah in 1936 at the local railhead as a produce loading and merchandise supply centre for the local fruit and vegetable growers. Since those days the Co-op has grown and expanded into the large scale retail outlet that it is today. From its humble beginnings, founded by 19 farmers, the Co-op has remained true to its original ties and has stayed wholly and solely owned by the shareholders and not large corporate identities like many other similar stores. The Co-op now boasts in excess of 600 shareholders, a tribute to its ability to change with the times and provide shareholders with the products and services they require. It provides shareholders and the general public alike access to a large range of products at competitive prices with the added benefit of our shareholder/customer being eligible to participate in the annual profit distribution. The Co-op consists of several major departments working together to provide customers with a single outlet supplying most of their needs.
